The Civil Service Commission has completed reviewing front-line reward lists for the employees of the Kuwait Airways Corporation, employees who worked during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Al-Qabas daily said those eligible will be paid in accordance with the controls and mechanism specified by the government decision in this regard.

In a letter sent to the Ministry of Finance by the senior KAC official no notes have been attached to the list of names as required by the controls and mechanism specified in Cabinet Resolution No. 686.

The official indicated that the total amount required to be paid according to the statements of the Kuwait Airways Company is estimated at 2,673,079 dinars.

However, the Ministry of Finance pointed out that the Kuwait Airways Company bears responsibility for the validity of the number of employees, the number of days calculated for each employee, and the correctness of their salaries contained in the attached statements, as the rewards must be based on the same salaries the employees earned during the period of granting the bonus, and that it must take into account the restrictions stipulated in Law No. 4 of 2021 when disbursing the reward.
