According to reliable sources, government agencies have recently obtained approvals from the Civil Service Commission to hire non-Kuwaiti employees.

This decision came after the suspension of such hiring practices in previous years, except for certain specialized positions that lack qualified national candidates, reports Al-Qabas daily.

It has been revealed that some government agencies submitted requests to employ non-Kuwaiti individuals, and these requests were sent to the CSC either last year or in the past few months.

After careful consideration, the CSC granted approval for some of these requests, even in cases where there were already national candidates available for the specific positions.

However, it is important to note that the CSC continues to reject requests to hire non-Kuwaiti employees if there are Kuwaiti candidates with similar qualifications registered in the central employment system.

In such cases, the CSC considers the request for non-Kuwaiti hiring as an indication of the agency’s need for additional personnel. As a result, the system gives priority to nominating a Kuwaiti employee with the required expertise to fill the vacant position within the organization.
