The Criminal Court has refused to look into the money laundering case involving Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah and Nawaf Al-Shalahi saying a final judgment in this regard was already issued by the Court of Cassation.

The verdict of the Court of Cassation is final and cannot be appealed. A local Arabic daily, quoting court sources said, Cassation had earlier sentenced Al-Jarrah and others to prison terms, its Criminal Chamber headed by Counselor Ahmed Al-Ajeel in its ruling rejected the appeals of the Bangladeshi MP, two government officials and a former MP, against the appeal ruling in late April and convicted them in the case of bribery and human trafficking.

The Bangladeshi was put behind bars for seven years and ordered to pay fine 271,000 dinars after finding him guilty of bribery and human trafficking.
