The Public Affairs Committee of the Fatwa Authority at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs responded to the referendum by the Undersecretary of the Ministry regarding the vaccination campaign carried out by the Ministry of Health against the emerging coronavirus, Al Anbaa reported.

The committee responded that as the is intramuscular it does not break the fast of the fasting person, and there is nothing wrong with taking it during the day in Ramadan. The committee further stated that and if the patient gets tired of fasting because of the coronavirus injection or a skilled Muslim doctor advised him to break the fast to ward off harm and relieve pain, it is permissible for him to break the fast and he can make up for the broken fast after he has recovered.
