As the assessment of health conditions continues with the aim to decide the transition to the second stage of the return to normalcy plan, and to lockdown some areas or continue the lockdown for others, reports Al-Rai daily. The evaluation results will be handed to the cabinet, probably next Thursday for discussion of further plans.

The daily reports that taking a decision regarding the transition to the second stage depends on the extent of improvement of coronavirus infection rates and to ensure that the five conditions set in this regard are met, after the first four criteria are met which was reported by Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah at the press conference last Thursday night.

After confirming what was published by Al-Rai last Tuesday, the daily highlighted that with regard to removing the lockdown from the rest of the areas, the Mahboula area is still the closest with the rate of infection, and stressed that removing them is subject to the residents’ commitment to health instructions, and applying social distancing.

According to the daily, the option of imposing lockdown on new areas is not currently on the table, including residential areas inhabited by a majority of citizens.
