The Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergencies approved the request of the Kuwaiti Farmers Union, regarding the recruitment of agricultural workers from abroad, Al Qabas daily reported.

This came in a letter addressed by the Assistant Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Osama Al-Duaij, to the Minister of Interior.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Farmers’ Union Abdullah Al-Dammak, thanked the committee for supporting farmers and allowing Kuwaiti farms to bring agricultural labor from abroad to fill the current deficit in farmworkers through the Salama platform by agreeing to the request of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Union for farmers who submitted it in mid-April.
