On the second consecutive day, frontliners, employees from the ministries of health, interior and defense, the National Guard and volunteers, thronged to the Coronavirus vaccination center for their vaccinations after registering for an appointment online, Al Rai daily reported.

The national campaign for vaccination against the coronavirus is continuing under supervision, with more than 100,000 citizens and expats, who registered on the site during the last period. Registration is still ongoing as the awareness campaign led by the Ministry of Health, to respond to inquiries about the safety of the vaccine, and to refute the rumors that some platforms make.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mustafa Reda, thanked the Ministry of Health cadres in all its sectors for the success of the Covid 19 vaccination campaign on the second day, and noted the numbers applying to receive the vaccination are increasing. In the afternoon, the number of elderly people coming for the vaccination increased, with the continued influx of frontline workers, especially employees in the Ministry of the Interior.

In turn, a registered assistant in the Public Health Department, a member of the team supervising vaccinations, Dr. Farah Al-Issa, told Al-Rai daily that the turnout of medical personnel and the rate of registration increase day after day.

She praised the procedures where people register on the Ministry of Health website, and receive a text message with a link to the barcode, and at the reception area, the employee scans the barcode to verify the details provided, and then, the person enters the vaccination center to accept the vaccine.

She added that the vaccination is open to all through online registration of medical personnel and employees of ministries in the front lines, elderly people and others.

Encouraging citizens and residents to get vaccinated, Al-IssaShe said to Al Rai daily, “I hope that the largest possible number of members of society will accept the vaccinations, and with regard to rumors, we always say listen to news from its specialized sources, and do not pay attention to rumors.”

The center’s administrators refused to receive a number of citizens who requested the vaccine without registering their details through the online website, and they were asked to register and attend according to the appointment allotted to them, to avoid any congestion in front of the vaccination headquarters.
