The head of the Federation of Consumer Cooperative Societies, Ali Al-Fahd, issued a warning to the company supplying dairy products, which recently increased prices, to resupply discontinued items to cooperative societies. According to Al Rai Media, Al-Fahd warned that non-abidance indicates a serious violation of labor laws in the union, as well as the regulations and systems of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The union confirmed that it will take legal measures against the company should it fail to comply, in order to preserve the rights of cooperative societies and consumers.

In addition, Al-Fahd explained that following the union’s circular on the adoption of two new items, the company suddenly ceased from providing the markets and branches of cooperative societies with items that it used to supply before issuing its circular to coops. He added that such a move is considered harmful to the interests of both the union and consumers.
