The announcement of the new government formation headed by the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, had to be delayed because of the verdict that has been issued by the Constitutional Court annulling the 2022 National Assembly.

informed government sources told Al-Qabas that both the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Barak Al-Shaitan, and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and Minister of Housing and Urban Development Ammar Al-Ajami will not be included in the new government formation.

The sources revealed that the Minister of Finance and the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Abdul Wahhab Al-Rasheed, will return in the expected government formation, in addition to the return of Khaled Al-Fadil, who previously held the positions of Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water, and currently holds the position of Director General of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.

The sources indicated that the MP in the 2020 National Assembly Issa Al-Kandari will also return within the government formation.

According to the sources, the formation of the 43rd government in the country’s history was supposed to be announced and the names submitted to the political leadership on Sunday, March 19, but this did not happen because of the court verdict.
