The Constitutional Court has set a session for May 17 to consider the appeal submitted against its verdict to invalidate the 2022 National Assembly.
After examining the appeal submitted by former deputies and citizens, the court will determine its acceptance or rejection and the legal path, if it is valid or not.
According to the appeal, the appellants before the Constitutional Court relied on its ruling to invalidate the entire election process in the five constituencies of the 2022 Council for a number of reasons.
It is stated in the appeal sheet that the appealed judgment decided an act of sovereignty that is outside the jurisdiction of the courts as a whole, and also included a violation of the principle of separation of powers, in addition to the omission of the appealed judgment to examine the reasons contained in the decree dissolving the 2020 National Assembly.
