Ahmed Al-Ibrahim, CEO of the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority, said the construction and civil works for the Wafra station project in Kuwait are progressing on schedule and the project is expected to be completed in December 2024.

He stated that the existing cooperation between the Authority and the Kuwait Fund for Development in implementing the Wafra station project is “very excellent,” indicating that the Authority seeks to build greater cooperation with the Fund in implementing other vital and strategic projects that are in the interest of Kuwait and the GCC countries.

He explained that he had examined the conditions on the ground and listened to the reports and opinions of engineers, consultants and contractors, stressing that things are going well in terms of direct coordination with the joint operations teams and the request for materials and their arrival in a timely manner.

He pointed out that the Linkage Authority and the Kuwaiti Fund are working as one team in the success of this project, which is a common goal, expressing his sincere thanks to the Fund for its continuous support and continuous follow-up to the project.
