The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has punished a food company for tampering with the expiry dates of foodstuffs.
The Al-Jarida daily has learned the company based in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area committed a commercial fraud by extending the expiry dates of foodstuffs which directly affects the health of consumers.
The violation was detected by the Commercial Control Emergency Team. Legal procedures are being completed against the violators.
