The Ministry of Awqaf said a committee has been formed comprising members from the ministries of Awqaf, Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Hajj Campaigns to control Hajj to check, control and monitor campaign prices and services provided to pilgrims.

The sources told a local Arabic daily that the committee will inspect the campaign prices and compare them with the equivalent services and costs provided by the Hajj campaigns to those registered in them.

The sources pointed out that the Supreme Hajj Committee has discussed many future projects, whose implementation would reduce Hajj prices, especially since it was implemented in many neighboring countries and yielded many positive results, including the central registration for pilgrims, which allows the pilgrims to register with the campaign that provides the services that suit them.

The sources explained the committee also discussed a project to determine the segments, which would reduce the costs of performing Hajj, indicating that these projects will be presented to the Council of Ministers for approval.
