The Minister of Works, Dr. Amani Boqmaz is determined to look into the negligence of some officials for not taking into account the reports that were prepared by several committees to prevent the recurrent of damage caused by rainfall and is said to have formed a committee to look into the failure of the drainage system and water accumulation in several areas.

The minister said what caused the accumulation of water in several areas and led to the overflowing sewage, deficiencies was negligence, weak supervision and control over the implementation of contracts.

The decision also calls for determining the reasons for the delay in preparing or rather signing maintenance contracts for the internal areas and main roads.

The minister wants to know why permanent solutions were not adopted in the affected areas including Sabah Al-Nasser, West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Al-Raqqa, Al-Sabahiya, Abu Al-Hassaniya, Al-Massilah, and other areas, and person responsible for not.

The decision also calls for looking into reasons for the delay in untangling the competencies between the Ministry of Public Works and the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport sectors.
