The Parliamentary Interior and Defense Committee approved the proposal submitted by the Secretary of the National Assembly, MP Farz Al-Daihani, to open visas for domestic workers, while adhering to the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Health.

A local Arabic daily published the committee’s report on Al-Daihani’s proposal, which stipulates given the urgent need of Kuwaiti families for domestic labor, especially in light of many families taking care of disabled individuals, people with special needs and the elderly, and most of the parents work there is an urgent need for domestic workers, and since the government has allowed the entry of all workers stuck abroad, whether they are domestic or private sector workers, it is possible to open visas for the entry of new domestic workers while adhering to all health requirements.
