The Council of Ministers is expected to impose stringent measures in their press briefing shortly, stating starting next week, clubs and salons are to completely remain shut, while commercial malls and restaurants are required to remain shut from 8pm to 5 am, Al-Qabas daily reported, quoting sources.

This is a measure against the rising coronavirus cases, and failure of the public to adhere to health regulations. The sources also confirmed that a recommendation was adopted to impose a week-long institutional quarantine for arrivals to Kuwait, provided the decision will be effective later this month.

Kuwait is witnessing an increase in Coronavirus cases, hospitalizations and intensive care, and an increase in the rate of infection to swabs.
