In the series of developments between the National Real Estate Company and government agencies against the backdrop of handing over Souk Sharq to state property, responsible sources revealed that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry sent mail messages to all lessors in Souk Sharq, without exception, informing them of the suspension of commercial licenses in the market due to the change of owner of the property, and urging them to review the Ministry Finance represented in the state property sector to reconcile their situation.

The text of the e-mail sent to Souk Sharq investors stated the following: “We inform you that commercial licenses have been suspended in Souq Sharq due to the change of owner. Therefore, please refer to the Ministry of Finance, the State Property Sector, to work to reconcile the situation according to the new market situation,” reports Al-Qabas daily.
