The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has warned an office specialized in the sale of luxury cars, to pay all the claims owed to its customers or otherwise be subject to a regulatory and judicial violation.

This happened after the ministry received more than 60 complaints against the office about its failure to fulfill its obligations with its customers contracted to buy cars for them, reports a local Arabic daily.

The daily has learned that a big number of citizens contracted with this office to buy luxury cars from agencies, after they received discounts to encourage them, which was less than 30% of their market value. The complainants by requested more time on the pretext that the arrival of their cars was disrupted due to logistical reasons.

The sources indicated that after one appointment after another, more than 60 people complained to the office, accusing it of failing to fulfill its obligations with them.

While the sources did not reveal the financial value of the total complaints, they clarified that the claims of one of the customers ranged between 250 and 300 thousand dinars.

The sources stated that “the ministry officials” warned the office’s owners to provide the contracted cars soon, return the money or prepare to be subject to regulatory and judicial accountability.

The sources explained that the ministry has already begun to deal with some complaints, but so far has not closed the claims file with all the contractors with them.
