Hundreds of cleaning workers failed to show up for work in schools in 5 educational areas, except for Farwaniya, because the company they are working for has failed to pay them their salaries.
An educational source told a local Arabic daily that the financial sector of the Ministry of Education was able, after a meeting with the company yesterday, to find a solution to end the problem soon, explaining that “the last payment was disbursed to the company last July, and its account was frozen due to committing certain violations.”
