The Civil Service Commission announced that the Eid al-Fitr holiday begins on the first Sunday of May, and extends until Thursday, May 5, with official working hours to resume Sunday, May 8.

In a circular issued today, the CSC revealed that Sunday will be a day of rest as it will be the 30th day of Ramadan, while Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are official holidays, being the days of Eid al-Fitr and Thursday will be a day of rest that falls between two holidays. Therefore, the Eid al-Fitr holiday will be 9 days, including the two weekends.
