Official data shows that the Internet services provided by the three mobile operators witnessed a great development during 2021, especially in downloading and uploading via HTTP using 4G/5G networks.

The data issued by the Communications Authority “CITRA”, shows the average download speed on the fourth generation network was 32 megabytes per second, and the average download speed on the “5G” network was 110 megabytes per second; the second, to reach more than 3 times the speed compared to the fourth generation, and the average download speed was 70 megabytes per second on the fourth generation network, and at the same time, the download in the “5G” networks recorded an increase of 4 times the speed, reaching about 328 megabytes per second, reports a local Arabic daily.

The data indicated that the average time taken by networks in Kuwait to display the required browser and enter a specific website for the purpose of browsing ranges between 6 and 9 seconds, while it decreases on YouTube, bringing that average to only 1.3 seconds for the appearance and playback of a video.

The data showed that there are 3 games that are most used in the “online” system, including “FORTNITE”, “PUBG” and “FIFA21”, while the response speed of those games varies, and the game “FIFA21” topped that list at a rate of 120 megabytes per second, followed by “FORTNITE” with an average of 65 Megabytes per second “PUBG” came last with an average of 60 megabytes per second.
