Centre For India Studies (CIS-Kuwait) will be organizing a medical awareness campaign in association with the Indian Doctors forum, Kuwait and Kuwait Medical Association titled, ‘Know Cancer Better’. This 10-day medical awareness programme will reach out to all sections of the society, and will see the participation of various socio-cultural organizations in this campaign with over 20 sessions already scheduled.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on Friday, 27 November at 5:30 pm on the Zoom platform. H.E Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Kuwait will be the Chief Guest at the inauguration event.
Dr. Sadeq Abu Zalouf (Guest of Honour), Chairman, Radiation Oncology, Kuwait Cancer Control Centre would address the audience about the various facilitates available for cancer treatment in Kuwait.
Dr. Amir Ahmed, President of Indian Doctors Forum Kuwait will address the audience as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Juzer Ali, Radiation Oncologist, Kuwait Cancer Control Centre, will deliver the keynote address.
Dr. Surendra Nayak, CIS Advisor, will be releasing a pamphlet on cancer awareness, prevention and treatment in different languages that would be distributed to the attending organizations and other public platforms.
A panel of eminent specialist doctors from IDF Kuwait and from India would be addressing the community on specialized topics relating to cancer awareness during the campaign.
The organizers have also announced that there will be exclusive programmes for women alone audiences also.
