Meteorologist Muhammad Karam expects a decrease in the maximum temperature over the next two days as a result of the country being affected by the high air pressure belt accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds, and the temperatures are expected to be between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius. He predicts rain during the New Year holiday and called on motorists to exercise caution.

Karam told Al-Rai the high air pressure belt will recede next Tuesday and will be replaced by what he called the African depression in the Arabian Peninsula, which will be accompanied by southeasterly winds, and moisture laden clouds will begin to appears as of Tuesday.

He said there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rain next Wednesday, and the chances are all regions of Kuwait will witness the rainfall and may continue until next Saturday before the stable weather sets in next Sunday with the northwesterly winds blowing causing a decrease in temperatures.

The weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy, and the maximum temperature will range from 19 to 20 degrees on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and even Saturdays.
