The Real Estate and Public Projects Committee emanating from the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its fifth meeting for 2022, to discuss several topics on its agenda, the most prominent of which was discussing the topics and suggestions submitted by contracting companies to overcome the obstacles faced by companies with regards to contracts concluded with the government.
The meeting touched on the conditions and criteria that have become expulsive for the participation of national contracting companies, in particular companies with long experience and sales in state projects for various sectors over the years, as well as the delay in payments for existing projects, and a decision on the time extension that occurred as a result of the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, and the financial burdens caused by delay by the concerned state ministries, reports a local Arabic daily.
