Saturday, the Central Bank of Kuwait announced the opening of the scholarship program for Kuwaitis to obtain a Master’s degree in the most prestigious international universities in finance, economics, accounting and business administration disciplines, starting from today, Sunday, until next June 2.

A local Arabic daily quoting the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Banking Studies, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hashel, said the bank continues to support projects and initiatives aimed at qualifying citizens to help them contribute to nation building and supporting the development process in the country.

He added that within the framework of the “Kafa’a” initiative launched by the Central Bank to achieve this strategic direction in cooperation with Kuwaiti banks, the scholarship program is launched for the eighth year in a row to send Kuwaitis to obtain a Master’s degree, as the bank believes in the importance of continuing to develop the national capabilities to work in the banking sector given the importance of this sector in advancing the national economy.

The governor indicated the scholarship program for Kuwaitis to obtain a Master’s degree is one of the most prominent programs of the “Kafa’a” initiative and has so far provided 24 scholarships in these fields.
