The Director of Funeral Affairs in the Kuwait Municipality, Dr. Faisal Al-Awadi, issued an administrative circular directing the cemeteries to allow visitation from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon, Al Qabas reported.
It was also mentioned in the circular that the duration of the visit should not exceed half an hour, taking into account the adherence to health measures ie. wearing the masks, and maintaining social distancing.
Al-Awadi explained in his circular that there is no objection to burial at any time according to the public interest and the discretion of each cemetery official, in coordination with funeral personnel. The circular also limited access to a room for washing the dead to three people of the funeral, and that twenty people accompany the funeral Relatives of the deceased are first-degree.
This circular shall be enforced as of Wednesday 17/2/2021.
