The Central Agency for Public Tenders called on the Ministry of Public Works to expedite the completion of tender procedures for the construction, completion, development and maintenance of roads and intersections to serve the new passenger terminal of Kuwait International Airport T2 on Al-Maqwa Road.

The agency also called on the ministry to hasten to float the tender for the implementation of infrastructure improvement works for the areas of Yarmouk, Phase 11, Qurtoba, and Surra, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The agency requested amending the amount of the second extension of the supervision services agreement for the construction, completion and maintenance of the northern regional road from the Sixth Ring Road to intersection No. 82, to 323,468 dinars for 151 days duration.

On the other hand, CAPT has approved the awarding of a tender for the supply and installation of 300 kV insulated ground cables and communication cables with their accessories in Ahmadi Governorate to feed Abu Halifa Station “W” to the third lowest bidder company that meet the conditions and specifications. The contract is worth 29.99 million dinars.

In a related context, the agency decided to refer a request to the Fatwa and Legislation Department to reconsider approval of the tender for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of gas turbine units operating in the combined cycle system to increase the electric power at the site of the Subbiya power plant and water distillation by 900 megawatts (phase four). The contract is worth 204.17 million dinars.
