The Council of Ministers decided to close all activities for children, including summer clubs, from Sunday 25 July until further notice, Al-Rai daily reported.

During the Cabinet meeting, the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah presented the latest developments of the health situation in the country, the statistics related to the numbers of cases, deaths, and recovery in all governorates.

It was found that the number of cases of recovery from Coronavirus has increased by more than 94 percent against the increase in deaths among the unvaccinated segments and the increase in the clinical occupancy rate in the wards and intensive care units.

The Council also took note of the efforts made by all employees of the Ministry of Health to address the epidemic and new mutant, and to complete the vaccination of all groups qualified to take the anti-Coronavirus vaccine, which has proven highly effective against the spread of mutated viruses.

The Council of Ministers expressed its deep appreciation and pride for the tremendous efforts made by the Ministry of Health, represented by all doctors, assistant medical staff, and support cadres, around the clock to perform their humanitarian tasks in these exceptional health conditions.

The Council assigned the Ministry of Defense and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation to use their hospitals to support the health system in the country.
