The Cabinet has completed discussions about the appropriate mechanism for implementing major development projects. These projects are initiated on the directives of His Highness the Prime Minister, to support the national economy and meet comprehensive development needs within the framework of the great interest, Al Jarida reported.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs presented the Council with a proposed roadmap to speed up the implementation and follow-up of some projects such as renewable energy projects, Failaka Island investment project, environmental fuels, beautification of Kuwait City, Ministry of Health projects, Kuwait International Airport projects, and others. By defining the projects and procedures to be implemented according to the following:

1. Short-term projects and procedures to be completed during the current summer months, there are 9 such projects.

2. Medium-term projects and procedures, there are 5 such projects

3. 4 Long-term projects

The Council of Ministers decided to assign the concerned ministers to work on expediting the implementation of these projects and for the relevant ministerial committees to follow up on them.

The Council also decided to seek the assistance of consultants, technicians, and civil society groups to benefit from their experiences and suggestions to speed up the implementation of these projects, with priority given to projects whose establishment is self-financing and generate a return on the state.
