Traffic police in Ahmadi have impounded over 50 buses for violating traffic rules, including stopping on the road and impeding traffic, while dropping or picking up passengers from the wayside, rather than from designated bus stops.
The intense campaign by the traffic police came in response to increased complaints from other motorists, and is likely to be expanded to other governorates. The impounded buses have since been moved to the traffic garage.
