Bharathiya Pravasi Parishad (BPP) Karnataka Wing organized an Emergency Blood Donation Camp in association with BDK Kuwait Chapter as part of its 2020 Community Welfare Program. At the blood donation camp, which was held at the Adan Blood Bank on Friday, December 18 from 1 pm to 6 pm, 100 of the 114 people registered successfully donated blood. The camp was organized at the special request of the Kuwait Blood Bank to address the blood shortage in the Covid situation.
Mr Ashraf Ayoor, General Manager, Badr Al Sama Group officially inaugurated the blood donation camp. BPP Karnataka Wing President Raj Bhandari presided over the meeting. Badr Al Sama Branch Manager Abdul Razaq, BPP Karnataka General Secretary Savinay, Jt. Secretary Chittaranjan Das, Advisor Vijay Kairangala, BPP Kuwait Treasurer Surendran Nair and Lal Care President Rajesh R. J., Billawa Sangham Kuwait General Secretary Prashant Pujari extended a felicitation message. BDK Kuwait Patron Manoj Mavelikkara and Advisory Board Member Rajan Thottathil handed over the plaque of appreciation for the successful organization of the blood donation camp in the Covid context to the BPP office bearers.
At the meeting, Bharatiya Pravasi Parishad Kuwait bid farewell to Vijayaraghavan Thalassery who is returning home after ending his expatriate life. He is the Founder Member and current Organizing Secretary of Bharatiya Pravasi Parishad Kuwait. Raghubal BDK coordinated the blood donation drive events.
BDK Members, Venugopal, Nalinakshan, Deepu Chandran, Dhanya, Ramesan, Jolly Paulson, Beena, Ajith Chandran, Ratheesh Divakaran, Sanjay Kiran and Kevin, led the camp.
