An MP  revealed to a local daily that a bill is being worked on to organize the agreements between the landlords and tenants during times of crises. He explained that around 16,000 small businesses have suffered huge losses due to suspension of their business activities under the total curfew imposed by the Kuwait Government, and Kuwait stands to lose more than half of these enterprises as they shut down due to loss in revenues.

He added that the government was supposed to submit a bill for amendments to the Rent Law as it has gathered all the relevant data, yet nothing has been done till date. The daily reported that the MP explained that the businesses will resume operations with health measures once the Government gives the go ahead.
