Bhavan’s Smart Indian School (SIS) celebrated the yuletide season with fervor on the school premises on 19 December. The decorationS that filled the campus with glowing Christmas tree, glossy streamers and flashes of lights added beauty to this day of celebration. The day saw students dressed in beautiful red and white attire welcoming others with the greetings of the season. The morning assembly turned to be a joyful one with the merriment of singing which ended with the famous hymn ‘Joy to the world’.
The celebration was vibrant and colorful in the Kindergarten wing as they joyously involved themselves in the activities of the day. The special assembly was conducted by the students of grades 2, 5 and 8. Each class started off with Kuwait National Anthem and reading of Holy Qura. The students of grade 2 celebrated Christmas with song, dance and a special skit on sharing. The students of grade 5 mesmerized the audience with their instrumental singing, dance and a video on the birth of Jesus Christ and the season.
The students of grade 8 performed a show on Christmas celebration which included a skit on the significance of the season and high-spirited dance to revel in the joyous celebration. The message of love and Christmas were rightly conveyed by the students of all three grades. The children were felicitated for their amazing performances. Principal, Mahesh Iyer wished everyone a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
