The Ambassador of the Republic of Benin during his meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society

The Ambassador of the Republic of Benin, H E Mujahidu Sumano, praised the humanitarian activities around the world of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after meeting with Vice Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors Anwar Al-Hassawi at its headquarters, Sumano expressed his appreciation for the role of the Red Crescent in supporting peoples exposed to natural disasters.

He said that he was briefed on the size of the humanitarian program that the association is currently implementing in various countries, including Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Indonesia,  the Philippines, as well as relief for Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon to support and improve their conditions.

He pointed out that he discussed cooperation with the association to provide support to the needy in his country, especially health supplies to combat the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), stressing the great importance of the association and its humanitarian projects.

Al-Hasawi expressed his happiness for the Benin ambassador’s visit to the association to review its activities and achievements, He added that the humanitarian work carried out by the association comes from the premise of helping people wherever they are, without any other considerations.
