The Director of Public Relations and Institutional Communication at the Kuwait Banking Association, Sheikha Al-Essa, announced that local banks will suspend work on 19 February, as a day of rest, and consider 18 February as an official holiday in observance of Isra and Mi’raj, Al Rai newspaper reported. Work will resume on 20 February.
Meanwhile, in celebration of the National Day and Liberation Day, Al-Issa added that banks will suspend work from 26-27 February, with 25-26 February considered as official holidays, and 27 February as a day of rest. Based on the circular issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait, the work breaks will be implemented provided that official working hours will resume on 28 February.
