The General Administration of Residence Affairs Investigations (Research and Investigation Department) have arrested a group of Asians for selling counterfeit medicines in the suburb of Mahboula.
The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior stated the operation was carried out based on information received by the General Department of Residence Affairs that a group of Asians was selling medicines in Mahboula
The Al-Rai daily said the concerned authorities then set up a trap and sent a fake buyer and caught a man and a woman red-handed and seized from them many types of medicines including ‘adulterated’ substances.
During initial interrogation, they said they were trading in medicines, the source of which is unknown. The suspects and the medicines have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
