The Ministry of the Interior announced that the personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department from the Capital Governorate have arrested an Asian for stealing and smuggling out of the country state-subsidized food supplies, estimated to be 5 tons.
The ministry told Al-Qabas daily, that the suspect and the seized foodstuffs have been referred to the competent authority. An investigation is underway to arrest his accomplices and whoever facilitated the theft.
