The General Fire Force is setting up the inauguration of the Arifjan fire station on Thursday morning, under the auspices of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, head of the force, Lieutenant-General Khaled Al-Mukrad, and the deputy for the combat sector, Major General Jamal Badr.

The inauguration is part of the force’s plan to establish fire stations in new cities and regions, to reduce the response time to accidents, as it is operated by trained officers and provided with the latest mechanisms and equipment to achieve community security, by preserving the lives and properties of citizens and residents.

The local daily reported that the station was built with the latest construction systems to meet the work needs and the convenience of firefighters, as it consists of a basement, a ground floor and a first floor. The facility also features fully equipped gyms, in addition to a swimming pool with modern specifications, a football field, volleyball and basketball courts, and classrooms for conducting training courses, as well as outreach.
