In accordance with a decision to suspend all public gatherings amidst the coronavirus threat, the Kuwait cabinet called on sports federations to stop sports activities and friendly matches until further notice.
Kuwaiti Olympic Committee acted on the cabinet’s directives and postponed all local sports activities under the sports federations and the activities of sporting clubs including exercises until further notice. This is a precautionary measure to protect the health of athletes in Kuwait.
As for the athletes who planned to take part in sports tournaments outside Kuwait, the representatives of sports federations and clubs can contact the Ministry of Health and inquire about the procedures for travelling to the countries where the tournaments are being held.
