Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development, Fahd Al-Shariaan, directed the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Capital Markets Authority, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mulhim, to continue work and look into urgent and important matters of the authority and control the movement of markets and follow-up of authorized persons, until the issuance of the new decree on commissioners.
A local Arabic daily has learned from informed sources the measures taken by Al-Shariaan comes in light of the keenness to avoid the occurrence of any administrative oversight vacuum for the market system led by the authority, pointing out that the current council decree expired last week (September 7), which makes it impossible to continue the work of the current members unless there is an official directive from the Minister of Commerce and Industry in his capacity as the person responsible for following up the affairs of the Capital Markets Authority.
