As students prepare for the new academic year, the Public Authority for Minors Affairs, in the presence of the Authority’s Acting Director-General, Eng. Hamad Al-Barjas, and alongside the Avenues Mall’s department heads and administration, organized on Sunday morning the back-to-school event for the academic year 2022-2023. A number of caregivers and parents participated in the event, as well as several government representatives.

Al-Barjas explained that the event featured artistic and educational workshops on various topics, in addition to entertaining and interactive shows. He added that holding annual events aims at breaking the psychological barrier and removing the feeling of intimidation, especially among newly-enrolled students, noting that a set of gifts including school supplies were also given to the participants, following the distribution of meals.

According to Al-Barjas, the authority was keen on providing specialized awareness services to minors and those covered by welfare, in order to guide families and make them aware about the methods in correctly dealing with their children. He explained that the organizers are initiating social responsibility programs that the authority is keen to establish in order to provide the best services for children who need them.
