Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs Mazen Al-Nahedh has requested the concerned ministers to stop receiving transaction for 262 government services based on the success of the Sahel unified government application.

In his letter, Al-Nahedh indicated that this trend enhances reliance on the implementation of government transactions through the Sahel application which is the basic building block in achieving the goals of digital transformation of the state according to the National Development Plan of the State of Kuwait (Vision 2035).

He disclosed 990,682 users were able to complete 7,044,520 government transactions and received 28,187,438 notifications and 17,226,973 official statements from 28 government institutions providing 277 electronic services through the Sahel application.

Al-Nahedh explained that this approach enhances support for the purpose of launching this application in completing transactions without visiting government institutions, as this will have a great impact in directing the different segments of society to electronic dealing in completing transactions.

On the other hand, this will ease pressure on government agencies and prevent waste time and energy in completing transactions manually since these services are now available electronically.
