The head of the development group and the spokesman for the Al-Mutla’a People’s Committee, Eng. Khaled Al-Otaibi, head and members of the Parliamentary Committee for Housing and Reconstruction Affairs in the National Assembly, called on the concerned authorities to postpone the installments of citizens on construction loans, citing high cost of living at the moment saying it puts pressure on families.

He pointed out that nearly two years have passed since the signing of the construction loan contract with the Credit Bank, explaining that 10 percent of the total salaries of citizens will be deducted (residents of the city of Al-Mutlaa and the southern suburb of Abdullah Al-Mubarak) starting from March 2023, indicating that electricity has yet to be supplied and none of the service buildings are operating including the cooperative society, police station, schools, clinics, and others.

He stated street lighting has also not been completed in the city of Al-Mutlaa, which will hinder the people from using the houses and will result in their commitment to the rents of their current homes, in addition to activating the credit bank loan deduction, which will devour one-tenth of the total salary, thus putting pressure on the head of family.
