Al-Mazeedi encourages employers to ensure safety of workers

The Director of Public Relations at the Public Authority for Manpower Aseel Al- Mazeedi has urged employers to ensure the safety of workers by providing them with protective clothing and accessories such as gloves, hard hats, shoes, suits, masks and other means of prevention against the coronavirus, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Mazeedi stated that protective clothing should be appropriate for the type of work of the employees and the risks to which they are exposed to. She added that workers should be trained to use them and ensure their safety through proper methods of cleaning and disinfection.

She stressed that the employer is not allowed to deduct any amount from the workers’ wages for the safety gear, and commitment to the labor laws means providing occupational safety during the period of employment.
