The astronomer Adel Al-Marzouq said the Crescent of Shawwal will not be seen on May 1 because it sets 17 minutes before sunset and predicted the Ramadan this year will have 30 days, and next May 2 will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr

Al-Marzouq stressed that if the legitimate vision is proven and the data that was mentioned is also proven correct, the start of the month of Ramadan for the year 1443 will be Saturday, corresponding to April 2, 2022, reports a local Arabic daily.

He added the fasting period on the first day of Ramadan will be 14:53 hours, and the length of the day from sunrise to sunset is about 13:30 hours.

Al-Marzouq explained that there is a high probability that Ramadan this year will complete its iddat, which is thirty days, as the birth of the month of Shawwal will take place on the night of Saturday, April 30, 2022 11:28:44 pm which stipulates that there is no initiation after sunset, so the first Sunday of May 2022 will be the thirtieth day of the blessed month of Ramadan, and the first day of Eid al-Fitr in the month of Shawwal will be on Monday, May 2, 2022.
