Following the oath-taking ceremony by inspectors of the Labor Inspection Department who are promoted to the rank of judicial officers, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Integrity Affairs, Counselor Jamal Hadil Salem Al-Jalawi, stressed the importance of labor inspection in many aspects, such as monitoring the labor market, considering that the private sector is auxiliary to the national economy, and following up on the implementation of the law, regulations, and decisions implementing it, which would “undoubtedly” support the Kuwaiti labor market to be an attractive market for investments.

Al-Qabas daily quoting sources said the role of the labor inspector is very vital in terms of economic participation, market-oriented, and capable of national competition, saying this gives the inspectors the chance to work with honesty, integrity, and impartiality.

In turn, the commissioning director-general of the authority, Dr. Mubarak Al-Azmi spoke of the authority’s keenness to train inspectors in an integrated and constructive manner on sound scientific foundations, pointing out that it, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training and the Civil Service Commission, launched a labor inspection diploma to graduate batches of scientifically qualified inspectors, indicating that the importance of inspection is manifested in that the Labor Law has devoted an entire chapter to it that includes drawing up the role entrusted to labor inspectors.
