Customs officers of the Air Cargo Department thwarted the attempt to smuggle into the country 20 kilos Larica powder two tons of chewing tobacco.
Al-Rai said the contraband (tobacco and Larica powder) was neatly hidden in air parcel packets. One of the parcels arrived from a Gulf country and the other from China via express mail.
Air Cargo Customs men, upon directives from the Director-General of the General Administration of Customs, and under the supervision of the Director of Air Cargo Mutlaq Turki Al-Anzi examined the two cargoes and seized the contraband’.
