The Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources has called for the removal of animals pens adjacent to the farms belonging to the Fresh Dairy Producers Union in the Sulaibiya agricultural area.

The Deputy Director General for Livestock Affairs at the Authority, Eng. Mishaal Al-Qarifa, in a letter addressed to the municipality, said that the head of the Fresh Dairy Producers Union asked to remove the pens adjacent to the farms of the Fresh Dairy Producers Union and keep a distance of no less than 5 km in order to preserve the herd of sheep and camels because of the diseases common to cows.

Al-Qarifa added grazing nearby is very dangerous for the health of the cows in the area due to the presence of diseases common to them and grazing in such areas is forbidden according to the map of the grazing law.

Al-Qarifa called for the necessary action from the competent authority in the municipality in accordance with the practice in order to protect the cattle sector in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.
