The Liberation Tower is preparing to open doors for the public after a hiatus of nearly a decade. A 9-member committee has been formed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications, Eng Kholoud Shehab, to be headed by the Assistant Undersecretary for Communications and Support Services Sector Eng Mana’a Al-Ajmi to complete work including renovation of the main hall to receive visitors and owners of small and medium enterprises.

The Ministry will receive the public on the 150th floor of the Tower from 3:00 to 8:00 pm; the booking for the visit has to be done through a specific website that will be announced soon, and the entry will be free. The ministry will organize an exhibition. On display will be historical and archaeological artifacts belonging to the Ministry of Communications after obtaining approval from concerned government institutions, to allow SMEs owners to participate in the exhibition so that they can display their works and products for a specified fee depending on the space that will be allotted, in addition to the participation of government institutions.

The Municipality building side has been determined as the official gate for visitors to enter in an organized manner. The elevators will take the visitors to the 150th floor which will enable them to get a bird’s eye view of Kuwait City and its suburbs.

The exhibition will depict a mini-museum that will depict the journey and history of the Ministry of Communications through paintings that will include various pieces that have been used since the 1960s. The ministry has formed a team to receive visitors.
