The Acting Director of Kuwait University, Dr. Suad Al-Fadhli, has written to the Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani, for permission to use one of the schools in the northern and southern regions for university lectures for students living in those regions, as part of a university plan aimed at facilitating the students there.
Al-Fadli told Al-Qabas daily the Deanship of Admission and Registration at the university had counted the students and faculty members residing there, before looking at available options for the benefit of students residing in those areas, expecting that the most likely possibility is to exploit a site in South Sabahiya, and pointed out that the launch of the plan may be from the Marine Sciences Center in Fintas, as it is ready to receive students.
In addition, Al-Fadli confirmed that the Council of Kuwait University has sent inquiries to the Council of Public Universities regarding the formation of a committee to select a director for the university, and that the university is awaiting responses regarding the formation of the committee and the selection of nominated names quickly, hoping to take immediate steps in the file with the beginning of the second semester, as the first semester is almost done with.
